by Danny Kang “Wait. Wait a little longer…” I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I heard this. “Just wait.” Growing up, I would hear it from my mom whenever I asked her for a taste of what she was cooking. I still hear it from her occasionally. I would hear it from my friends whenever I was impatiently waiting for my turn to get next on the basketball court. I would hear it from my teachers whenever I would pack my bags, ready to leave before the class was finished. Recently, I began to hear it again. This time, from leaders / mentors in my life, and also from God. When I first got back home after spending 6 months training and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with hundreds, maybe thousands, throughout Southeast Asia, I was desperate to see the same move of God in the U.S. I couldn’t wait till I got a chance to preach in front of hundreds. I couldn’t wait to see people encounter Jesus and have their lives transformed, just as people did in Southeast Asia. I couldn’t wait till I got to see the dreams and visions God has given me unfold before my very eyes! Anyone else ever felt that way? But that’s when I heard it again. “Wait.” There was this urgency in my heart that made me want to go gather a crowd so that I could share with them the message that was in my heart, but I kept hearing it again: wait. And instead of a crowd, God would give me two youth...

Testimonies from Redeem Conference

Testimonies from Redeem Conference

“Words are not adequate enough to explain all the feelings that I was experiencing during the Redeem Women’s Conference. In the midst of tears, there was also great joy and a renewed sense of hope. I felt like God gave me a glimpse of His heart for His beloved daughters and my heart just wanted to explode because of the overwhelming love that He has for each one of them. I want my sisters to hold on tightly to the Truth that God spoke into your lives that weekend. Remember who He says you are. It’s funny how God works. I said yes to this conference because I wanted my sisters to know His heart for them but I also walked away with the reminder of God’s heart for me. My heart is full! I am so humbled and honored to have been part of His Kingdom work.” – Eugenia Ko “I knew so little about my own shame and how much control it had over my faith. After hearing testimonies from the Bible as well as other young women, I learned that my shame had built walls from accepting the Lord’s love for me. Knowing and establishing my identity as a daughter of Christ, brings hope and freedom, and everyday I must fight to choose to live in that freedom because hope does not put us to shame.” – Ellen K. “I honestly didn’t know what to expect when going into the women’s conference. But, what God shows me again and again is that even though we may never know what He has planned for us, He does all things...
Sunday Night Soak

Sunday Night Soak

Koob Vang – “On Sunday night we are launching a worship time called Sunday Night Soak. Our HOPE is to open space and minister to God. We believe that when we attend to God, it allows us to step aside and give room for Him to move. Our goal is to simply bask in the presence of the Lord and wait upon him. Ministry is rough, hard, and sometimes very lonely. We’ve dedicated a safe place for ministers to be ministered. We believe as we cultivate revival in the Tri-state area, we as ministry leaders must be nurtured in God’s presence. We emphasize on ‘sabbath’: knowing that we need rest because only God can fulfill everything, ‘selah’: we need to simply soak and respond, and ‘shalom’: only through Christ we receive peace and wholeness.” — Samuel Cho – “Sunday night is unique time. You come back from church and somehow you are completely tired. You realize that the weekend is over and the long week is about to start. We already served the “Christian” duty at church in the day, and now all we can think of is the “real” life. It is the cycle of life and it always has been. What I want to pursue in this SNS is to change that. Sunday is the day of restoration and time of spiritual recharge. But many times at the end of Sunday, we are drained and emotionally tired. Can we have time just to soak in God’s presence? Just to sit down with God and rest. With worship without agenda and settings. Do whatever God makes us to do,...
Living as the Beloved Son

Living as the Beloved Son

In the last few years, God had given me promises about raising up a generation of sons and daughters. Men and women who understood that they were the children of the Most High. At the time I had no idea how such a vast promise could ever come to pass. Yet our first conference ever, “Living as the Beloved Son”, was a glimpse into exactly that. Words can’t describe how privileged and humbled I am to see His words unfolding and being fulfilled right before my eyes… Wow! I am in complete awe of what God is doing through a ministry like this. I was even wrecked that even one person would come! I‘ve been to packed out conferences as well as decked out conferences, this wasn’t one of them. Yet God came and did what He does best, which was fathering and loving His sons. How sweet it was to see Him show up and be Father – encountering lives, filling broken places, and ultimately bringing life change. It was surely a weekend to remember, celebrate, and build upon. Check out this video that captured a look at our Young Men’s Conference. — Here are also some testimonies from both those who ministered and attended… “It was a privilege to partner with Sam and Jesus to invest in the next generation of Christian men.  From the time of worship, talks, seminar, and to the Blessing Ceremony, God moved powerfully.  I truly believe greater things are yet to come through Pursuit NYC!” – Danny Cheong “I was invited to the Pursuit NYC conference to be part of the ministry team, but I ended up...
PursuitNB Spring Break Missions

PursuitNB Spring Break Missions

Hello all!  This is Josh and I’m here to update you on the PursuitNB (New Brunswick) spring break missions trip happening in 3 days.  I will be leading 15 other Rutgers University students who have decided to sacrifice and commit their week of spring break (March 16th to March 21st) to serve the city of New Brunswick, NJ. For the past 2 years, I’ve been doing homeless outreach called “Sandwich Runs” in New Brunswick where Rutgers University is situated in.  I would grab sandwiches from Rutgers dining halls, go out to into the city, and build relationships with people on the streets by offering sandwiches, praying for them, and getting to know them.  Through these Sandwich Runs I’ve been able build unexpected, but awesome relationships with people on the streets, and also witness God healing people.  Last year, I led the first spring break missions trip for NB and it was an awesome time as we saw God do some amazing things and some of the college students gain a heart for the city.  It has been crazy but good experiences for the past 2 years. This year, the PursuitNB missions team will be primarily serving through homeless and inner-city kids outreach with local ministries.  We have partnered up with Elijah’s Promise, a soup kitchen that has been serving the homeless in New Brunswick for the past 25 years.  We will be volunteering there every day to prep, cook, serve, and share a meal with the homeless.  We hope to be a blessing and an encouragement to the staff at Elijah’s Promise as we serve with them and also build...
