#PRSTCONREDUX Testimonies

#PRSTCONREDUX Testimonies

When the new year began, we never had any intentions of live-streaming or going online, but we pivoted following the Lord’s leadership as the whole world changed. The result was our first ever online conference! Our heart was to make it free and available to as many people as we could to help provoke them to go deeper in their prayer lives during this time. Thanks to the hard work and sacrifice of so many people, Pursuit Conference REDUX was able to host and minister to hundreds all over the world. We had people from our backyard of NYC to throughout the East Coast all the way to multiple continents. People tuned in from Belgium, Brazil, Guatemala, Indonesia, China, and Australia to just name a few! Praise God! Check out some of the testimonies from this year’s conference below. I think it’s been a crazy season for all of us. In times of great confusion and suffering, all people long for hope. Hope is what gets you out of bed in the morning. Hope is what causes you to stand back up when you’ve fallen. Hope gives life meaning and joy. And hope is always found where people pray. Hope is found when people fall on their knees in surrender, look up to heaven and cry out, “God I can’t! But you can!” Revivals of hope always follow revivals of prayer.   In the last session of the conference, I felt hope rise within my own heart as I heard Sam preach about past revivals. I was reminded that it’s never worth it to give up the fight. I...
PRSTCON’19 Testimonies

PRSTCON’19 Testimonies

We did it! We hosted our first ever conference, and God absolutely blew our own hopes and expectations out of the water! It is with no hype, exaggeration, or hyperbole when I say that this conference changed my life. I’ll truly never be the same again! What’s wild is that I’m not the only one who changed. Our ministry also changed. And in faith, I believe our region has changed as well. Our team couldn’t help but be moved to tears hearing some of the testimonies from our conference. Here are several of them kept anonymous and  left unedited so that it can capture what God did firsthand at #PRSTCON19 … God is good. God is faithful. Hallelujah!   Also check out these highlights from DAY 01, DAY 02, and DAY 03 of Pursuit Conference! I stumbled into the afternoon service on the second day of the conference because I wanted a place to worship. When Ali was prophesying over people, my heart was stirred and I started to pray to God that He would speak to me too. Right after I prayed that prayer, Ali called me out and he and his team started to speak over me. In that moment, I started to feel God light a fire inside my soul. He was reawakening dreams in me that I haven’t dreamt in a long time. He reminded me that His plans for me were bigger than my wildest dreams. He reminded me that His calling for my life is greater than my current assignment and circumstances. He reminded me that He called me because He’s good, not...
Testimonies from Hearing God’s Voice

Testimonies from Hearing God’s Voice

One of the questions that I get asked the most is how can someone learn to hear the voice of God. I believe that is actually one of the most important and pressing questions that can be asked today, especially given the times we are living in. Today, any and every voice can have a platform thanks to social media. There’s more noise, distraction, and opinions than ever before. In such a climate where the world is constantly fighting for our attention and our allegiance, we need to hear God. Without His voice, we have no anchor, compass, or hope. And with such a great need, we couldn’t stand idle. We had to act. We had to give. We had to train and equip. Above all, we had to obey God.   Hosting God’s presence and hearing His voice are foundations to who we are and why we do what we do as a ministry. In everything we do, we want the presence of God to be at the center and we want our actions to be in response to what He’s saying. One of the things we felt like God was saying was that we were to help people in this pursuit of learning to hear God’s voice. In response and in faith, we hosted our very first workshop this past Saturday! Leading up to it, we faced tremendous opposition and spiritual warfare, but as always, God proved faithful. It was an honor to partner with Catalyst Agape Church to host this all-day workshop. We had people come from all different backgrounds and from all over the region,...
Testimonies of Jesus Healing

Testimonies of Jesus Healing

by Josh Kim This past summer there was a conviction in my heart to seek more of God and change my prayer life. I don’t know how to explain it, but I felt that God wanted to do something new. I didn’t specifically know what that was, but all I knew was to abide in Him so I would be prepared and aware of what He was up to. (Looking back, I realize that God wanted to release new power in my life, and the only way for Him to release it was if I abided in Him. Bill Johnson, in his book, When Heaven Invades Earth, says it perfectly, “The life of power is a life of abiding.”) So almost every evening this past summer, I took 20 minute walks with God around my neighborhood to simply pray, commune, and have conversations with God. I especially prayed for my two upcoming summer missions trip to Ivory Coast in August and Colombia in September – just general things like finances, protection, unity within our teams, etc. But I remember one evening God telling me, “Ask for more! I’m going to release new power. So ask for more!” In faith, I responded back to Him, “God, I want to see miracles, like the ones I read in the Bible, on these mission trips this summer. It’s not enough to hear from others about your miracles, but I want to experience you healing your people, where it could only be done by you, for myself!” God responded back, “You will receive what your faith expects (Matthew 9:29).” I want to share...
Midyear Report 2018

Midyear Report 2018

God has been moving powerfully thus far in 2018! In faith and obedience we have launched different projects and endeavors this year while continuing what we’ve been contending for. As we are already underway in the second half of 2018, we wanted to take time to reflect on the past 6 months. Remembering is one of the key disciplines of faith and one we value greatly. Psalm 105:5 in the NLT says, “Remember the wonders He has performed, His miracles, and the rulings He has given…” We wanted to share with you several testimonies that recall, recount, and remember what He has already done so far this year. More than giving an update from our end, we wanted to share testimonies from our fellow brothers, sisters, leaders, and friends throughout the region. With gratitude, it’s an honor to share them with you. Glory to God! In my dry season of waiting and being uncertain about the future, all I wanted was a personal encounter with the living God. It wasn’t that I couldn’t be in God’s presence in my personal devotion time or that God only speaks to me through large events, but I was just hungry and thirsty for something more. Honestly, I needed some spiritual help, so I drove 3 hours to Pursuit’s July Gathering in hopes that God would do something new in my life with a body of believers who also hunger to see God move like never before. “What can you offer to God” were the words spoken by the praise leader as we started worship. I hadn’t been serving at church at the...
Recap of Leaders Advance

Recap of Leaders Advance

Couple weeks ago, Kevin, Josh, and myself (Sam) had the tremendous privilege of going to Bethel’s Leaders Advance. We all made sacrifices and took time off from school and work to attend this leadership conference. Although it was our first time there, we all agreed this wouldn’t be our last! There were hundreds and hundreds of leaders there from literally all over the world. There were over over 30 nations represented at this conference alone! Wow! There were so many highlights for me personally on this trip. Being able to meet leaders from different parts of the world is always so interesting and expands my horizon each time. Also there was a level of excellence and honor that Bethel stewards so well that inspired me to pursue after them even more. I also had the tremendous honor of sitting down with couple of Bethel’s pastors during my time there. Their encouragement, acceptance, and wisdom definitely left an impact. I really felt like I left this conference with a special deposit from the Lord. It was already at work on our flight back home when God supernaturally healed a man at the airport. Praise God! Along with my brief update and recap, I’ve also asked Josh and Kevin to share about their experience as well. JOSH KIM Heading to Bethel Church for the Leaders Advance, I was feeling burnt out, stuck, stagnant, and complacent in ministry, and also just personally. So my expectations for the conference was to be inspired, encouraged, and motivated to keep growing as a leader, go deeper with God, and rekindle the passion in my heart...
