2019 Midyear Report

2019 Midyear Report

I can’t believe the first half of 2019 is already over! Time flies by and we are so blown away by God’s continued faithfulness towards Pursuit NYC. Even in the first six months alone, we have seen many milestones:

  • We had our biggest gathering ever!
  • We see over 100 people per gathering each month!
  • The reach of our podcast grew like never before!
  • Our events have gone all the way from Queens down to Central NJ!
  • We held our first ever workshop!

Along with the milestones, we have gone through some growing pains as well. To share openly and honestly, there have been challenges and adjustments we had to make along the way. We have seen transitions as well as having to pause and go back to the drawing board for projects we pioneered last year. Overall though, we are super excited for what lies ahead, namely, our first ever conference! I’ve asked each member of the team to share about their favorite memory from the first half of 2019 as well as what they are looking forward to and sensing for the rest of the year.

“My favorite memory of 2019 so far is all of the friendships with individuals, ministries, and churches God has brought us. This has been the year where our team connected with people on a real personal level from all over the world, whether it’s leaders from Bethel Church, leaders from the recent Korean-American Gathering in Kona, or individuals from our region that we were able to build connection and friendship with. With that being said, I believe that God is bringing people in our region together in unity, not for the sake of partnership, but for the sake of Kingdom Family that will be vital in seeing a move of God!” — Danny Kang

“My favorite memory of 2019 so far has been hosting our very first workshop at the beginning of the year on hearing the voice of God. It was great to see people hungry to discern God’s voice better for themselves and for others. It’s clear that God is speaking to His children today and we need His voice today more than ever with all the other voices out there. 2019 is already a year of breaking new frontiers with our ministry. We hosted our first workshop, connected to other leaders, and partnered with new churches. I believe that the rest of 2019 will continue with breaking new grounds so that God could set a foundation for greater things to come.” — Josh Kim

“My favorite memory of 2019 just happened! It was this past KCC retreat where we got to serve together for the first time ever. It was cool to get invited as a team, and it was honestly just a lot of fun. I feel like being there as a team, we were able to bring different perspectives of God and serve in a greater capacity than if it was just one individual! I sense that God is going to take us to new places as a team! He’s definitely working in us individually, but I feel like there are things He wants to do through us as a unit.” — Kevin Kim

“My favorite memory of 2019 was our March Gathering. As an intern with Pursuit, I was able to witness the move of God all over the region. I loved seeing leaders from churches with different backgrounds come together to worship God and contend for breakthrough and revival in the Northeast. I sense that God is going to bring a lot of clarity and direction for people in transition. There have been many people waiting and sowing, and I believe that people will see so many pieces of the puzzle coming together for them. I also sense that divine appointments will be made, along with Kingdom relationships being established or reconciled.” — Lisa Song

Amen! Celebrate the goodness of God with us and please keep us in prayer. There are so many things we are sensing as a team for our ministry, as well as our region and the Body of Christ. Only together will we see it come to pass and more. We are so incredibly grateful for each and every one of you! Your partnership, support, love, and prayers make all the difference. Hallelujah!
