2019: Year in Review

2019: Year in Review

As 2019 comes to a close, we as a ministry are celebrating FIVE YEARS! It’s incredible how five years can feel like an instant and eternity at the same time. Since we started, if I’m honest, there were plenty of moments that couldn’t foresee us lasting this long. Sometimes the valley felt too deep, the doubts too heavy, the obstacles too tall, and the wilderness too vast. But yet, to think we’ve made it this far, is truly a testament of God’s faithfulness and goodness. There have been challenges and disappointments along the way, but at the end of the day, He has exceeded our expectations time after time. With that though, however, is the tension that there are still promises and hopes left unfulfilled. We have yet to see all He has said come to pass. Simply put, there’s more. There’s always more! Knowing He has come through for us in the past and knowing we’ve only scratched the surface, the pursuit after Him continues.

Reflecting on 2019, it resembles what our entire journey has been like up until now. At least for me personally, I can say that my year had its dazzling heights as well as its fair share of despairing lows. But as always, the nearness of God has been for our good. As a ministry, it wasn’t as dramatic, but we have had some significant changes this past year. One of the greatest changes we had was transition with our team. With tears and love, we said goodbye to Ezra and Janet as well as to Josh for a season. But also we joyfully welcomed Lisa officially to our leadership team as well as many other faithful brothers and sisters to our ever growing team of volunteers.

One of the greatest privileges we have as a ministry is working closely with others and inviting Kingdom family to join in together with what God is doing through us. We intentionally wanted to have our heroes and spiritual fathers to speak to our region this year whether it was through our gatherings or via our podcast. Countless people have been encouraged and stirred for revival as a result! Special thanks to Pastor Banning Liebscher, Dr. Ron Walborn, Pastor Daniel Park, and Pastor Tom Crandall to name a few. Thank you for sowing into us! Also speaking of Kingdom family, ministry wouldn’t be the same without doing it together with friends. We saw the fullness of what this can look like at our first ever conference!

As we entered into 2019, we wanted to celebrate five years by taking a big risk and holding our first ever conference! And for that, we wanted to do it with brothers and sisters who have been championing us and running with us since the beginning. For me personally, Pursuit Conference was by far my favorite memory of the year. It’s not hype, hyperbole, or exaggeration when I say that God changed my life at this conference. Not only that, I believe God changed our ministry as well. Pursuit has been birthed out of revival for revival, but now we are absolutely convinced that the greatest revival in human history is indeed coming. It’s beyond just having faith for revival or contending for it, but now asking ourselves, how do we prepare for revival?

That question of, “how do we prepare for revival?” has been rocking me these final months of 2019. And I believe that is what we will continue to ask ourselves heading into the new year. Many have been declaring and believing that 2020 will be a significant year. We are in total agreement because we believe it is a year of preparation. How we prepare is in direct correlation to what we’re believing for. And we are believing for much! Up until now, as a ministry, we have tried our hands in many different projects. Some were worthwhile, some failed, and some are still in its testing phase. Either way, we want to bring everything to the table and allow Him to speak, sharpen, and lead us. Our greatest desire is to hear His voice and heed His call and walk in the pace He has set for us. We can let ambition cause us to jump ahead or have our fears cause us to lag behind, but we want to be in step with Him all the way through the end.

We are so incredibly grateful for everyone who has followed, sowed into, and supported our ministry this past year. 2019 is a year we will never forget! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without you. We celebrate all that God has done and give Him all the glory! Thank You, Lord, for everything! As we close out this year and look to 2020, our prayer is for a hearing ear and courage. Ready to hear His voice and courageously obey, no matter the cost. We’re full of faith and expectation as we head into the new year. Can’t wait for all that’s in store!

As always, revival or bust
