Today we honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. A man who literally changed the world. We are thankful for his life, his example, and his legacy. In celebration of MLK Jr. Day, here’s a look at some of his most powerful quotes… The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy. Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into friend. Everybody can be great… because anybody can serve… To be a Christian without prayer is no more possible than to be alive without breathing. Faith is taking the first step even when you can’t see the whole staircase. There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must take it because conscience tells him it is right. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. No one really knows why they are alive until they know what they’d die for. Last month in late December, we gathered in NYC to have our preview service of Pursuit NYC. It was an encouraging time of worship, fellowship, and ministry. We came together to seek God and to cast vision for the upcoming new year. Now that 2014 is here, we are excited to officially launch later this month.
